LEONHARD KURZ presents solutions for sophisticated premium packaging at LUXE PACK Monaco 2026
Fürth/Germany, September 3, 2026: Differentiation, high-quality brand experiences, and growing technical and regulatory requirements: Luxury packaging is operating in an increasingly demanding environment. At LUXE PACK Monaco 2026, LEONHARD KURZ will present a broad portfolio of solutions for complex packaging concepts - ranging from conventional and digital finishing processes, direct decoration, and precision embossing technology to highly realistic mock-ups and brand protection solutions.
“Today, premium packaging is not created through a single technology or a single effect. What matters is bringing together design, finishing, application technology, and functional requirements right from the start,” says Stéphane Royère, Head of Business Area Packaging and Print. “At LUXE PACK Monaco, we will demonstrate what becomes possible when these capabilities work together - and how they can be used to create packaging that combines strong brand impact with evolving requirements.”
Different finishing approaches for premium packaging
KURZ will demonstrate the many ways in which sophisticated packaging concepts can be realized, including with a newly designed champagne package. The concept incorporates a variety of finishing technologies: In hot stamping, SILVER LINE® with achromatic effects and LIGHT LINE® with holographic effects create metallic and optical highlights. The tooling expertise of embossing die manufacturer Hinderer + Mühlich, a KURZ subsidiary, further expands the range of design possibilities with precise relief, micro- and nanostructures, as well as 3D effects.
The champagne package also showcases KURZ’s digital finishing capabilities. Digital finishing machines from the DM-MAXLINER series can also produce tactile effects, providing flexibility for applications such as shorter runs, versioning, or customization. The exhibit illustrates how conventional hot stamping, sophisticated embossing technology, and digital finishing offer different ways to create impactful premium packaging.
Direct decoration for three-dimensional packaging
Technologies from ISIMAT, a KURZ Group company, provide innovative solutions for decorating three-dimensional glass, plastic, and aluminum containers, as well as tubes and sleeves. ISIMAT’s hybrid machine concept combines multiple printing and finishing technologies on a single platform, including screen printing, flexographic printing, digital printing, and inLINE FOILING. The patented inLINE FOILING technology enables multi-metallization as well as combinations of metallic and holographic effects with various printing processes. Applications range from beauty, cosmetics, and fragrances to tubes and sleeves, premium beverage packaging, and aluminum cans.
Packaging design: visualization, inspiration, and new finishing ideas
Even during the development phase, it is important to evaluate design, materials, and finishing effects as realistically as possible. At LUXLAB, the LUXORO prototyping and design center, high-end mock-ups bring packaging concepts and finishing effects to life with exceptional realism. Visitors can examine selected samples directly on site and also experience them virtually using the DREAMCOMPOSER® digital 3D visualization tool.
DREAMCOMPOSER® also plays a role in presenting the third edition of the ‘60° - creative boxes to inspire’ inspiration collection. The boxes translate current design movements and finishing trends into tangible packaging concepts, demonstrating how they interact through high-quality samples. At LUXE PACK Monaco, KURZ will provide a first look at the trend and design worlds featured in the upcoming edition.
The company will also showcase another design innovation with a new LUXOR® product. For the first time, the finish combines its characteristic metallic effect not only with color, but also with a decorative pattern. Light, seemingly floating elements unfold across the shimmering background, creating a multidimensional appearance. The design reflects the idea of revealing different facets in a complex world full of possibilities.
Premium packaging in a changing regulatory environment
Regulatory requirements and growing demands for resource efficiency are changing packaging design. These include the EU’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR). For companies, this means increasingly considering creative, technical, and regulatory requirements together. In Monaco, KURZ will demonstrate how finishing can be incorporated into the development process at an early stage. The focus is on reconciling strong brand impact with evolving packaging requirements.
Brand protection as part of the packaging concept
For exclusive branded products, authentication and product protection are becoming increasingly important. At its booth, KURZ will present the KURZ SCRIBOS portfolio of physical and digital security solutions. These include TRUSTSEAL®, with customizable holographic security features for visual authentication, as well as TRUSTSEAL® ID, which adds a digital authentication layer. The SCRIBOS 360 digital platform also enables companies to analyze authentication data and use products as digital touchpoints. In this way, brand protection and digital interaction can be integrated into a holistic packaging concept.
With its presence at LUXE PACK Monaco 2026, LEONHARD KURZ brings together expertise spanning the various stages of packaging development - from design and finishing to development and implementation, all the way through to protecting the finished branded product.
LEONHARD KURZ looks forward to welcoming you at booth DA09 at LUXE PACK Monaco 2026, taking place September 28 - 30 at the Grimaldi Forum.
